The objective of this site is to collect and publish materials related to swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and water polo - from Southern Africa. Little detail is known about the events and people who participated in the sports. Much of the history is already lost, as no official archives have been kept. I have tried to locate any information about swimming in Rhodesia/Zim and SWA/Namibia, which have always been part of swimming in South Africa. To my surprise I discovered that Northern Rhodesia(Zambia) used to compete at SA Nationals, with a national team based at a place called Ndola! Research so far includes a trip to Cape Town, trawling the internet for information or photos, emailed photos from personal archives, personal scrap books donated by former participants or their families - any materials I have been able to track down. Thank you to everyone who has contributed - please continue to send me materials. I have accredited materials written for the site, but otherwise its all my own work. So please note : DISCLAIMER: I publish the information as I find it, without any guarantees that it is always going to be correct. REMOVALS POLICY: If you don't want your materials on the site, please let me know, and I shall remove them - simple. CORRECTIONS: If a detail is incorrect, please let me know, I shall fix it!
