ALTHOUGH Natalie Steward swam
for Rhodesia in the 1958
Empire Games, she will represent
Great Britain in the Olympics.
Natalie, who set up a world backstroke
record in the final trials, is
the daughter of English parents,
and her father was working in
Pretoria when she was b o r n -
giving her South African qualification.
But later she lived in
Bulawayo and was thus eligible
for Rhodesia's team..
Now that she and her family
are living in Hornchurch, Essex,
Natalie has elected to represent
Great Britain.
Incidentally, Natalie is coached
by her mother—a non-swimmer |
