The first Springbok swimmers to swim for American universities went in the 1950's. Whilst many of the first group, listed below, did return, sadly many others never returned and have never been heard from since. Today few remember them at all, although most have their names engraved on the trophies awarded annually at the national championships. Many also won titles at the NCAA and US nationals. |
